About
I've always had a passion for art, from drawing to photography. Growing up, I would always carry a notebook or a few pieces of paper and a pen. From illustrating short stories to drawing random characters. As I grew older, I traded my pieces of paper for a digital camera. During my high school years, my friends and I would go around the city taking pictures and recording videos. After high school, I put aside all my creativity and focused on what any other adult at that age would do, which was get a job and finish school. I would still take pictures here and there, and post them on social media, that went on for a few years. 2020 came around, and little did I know that my whole life was about to change. At the height of the pandemic, all of my world came crashing down. I was left with no job, and no type of income. One of my closest friends, who has always been into the art scene, knew that I had always been into photography and art, suggested I slap a random picture of LA onto a shirt and sell it. At the beginning I was very skeptical about it, and wondered if anyone would buy one. I decided to give it a shot, so I slapped a picture onto a shirt and posted onto my social media. Within a few hours, I had messages asking me where I had gotten the shirt and where they could get one as well. It was a hit! I decided to not only make shirts, but also a hoodie with the same photos. To my surprise, people also liked it, and wanted to buy one as well. I jumped on the opportunity, and started making t-shirts and hoodies. I continued well into 2021, making different types of t-shirts with pictures and art that I created. All was well, until the pandemic came to an end, and everyone was back to their regular lives. Which meant I also had to go back to work, that’s when I slowly started to veer away from making art and apparel. Between 2022 and 2024, I tried making a comeback, dropping the same designs over and over again, announcing my eventual comeback, which never really took off. Then, In 2024, I had an accident at my job as a postman, which put me out of work for quite sometime. I laid at home, wondering how long it would take me to recover. I became anxious not knowing when I would go back, so I started looking for another job. My search for another employment opportunity did not last long, as I found one within a matter of weeks. I'm very thankful to have an employer that gives me a good work, life balance, something I found very hard to do with my previous employer. During my downtime I started getting back into it, making art and brushing up on my apparel making skills. Today, my journey continues through photography, making art and apparel.
